King of the Himalaya 2015

11th Hero MTB Himalaya Rider Profile Series

Hero MTB Himalaya 2015 is already making buzz with a high degree of competition thrown in by international riders from all over the world. The challenge is not just getting stiffer but more demanding with altogether new routes through some of the highest passes of Himalayas going as high as 13000 ft. With a consolidated participation of around 800 riders in the previous editions, Hero MTB Himalaya has raised the benchmark to new heights where riders will face severe weather conditions, muddy roads, snow, steep ascent and unforgettable terrain. Having seen participation from seeded world # 9 Luis Leao Pinto, Cory Wallace (UCI ranked # 18), former Tour de Spain fame Reimund Dietzen and female riders like Sonia Lopes - well known female Champion across the world, the race is all set to witness more refined national and international participation. Cory Wallace, a Canadian top cyclist, crowned as “King of the Himalaya" and Sonia Lopes, a Portugese rider as "Queen of the Himalaya" are expected to retain the title - pedaling it out against whosoever comes to the challenge. Below are some of the riders who have registered their spot and are already looking forward to prove their mettle in 11th Hero MTB Himalaya 2015.
